The ideal candidate is P.O.S.T. certified or working toward becoming P.O.S.T certified. The Richfield Police Department offers numerous positions outside of patrol such as Investigations, Narcotics Investigator, Violent Offender Task Force, SWAT, Mobile Field Force, K-9, DWI officer, Drug Recognition Expert and Phlebotomist. The Richfield Police Department also offers numerous instructor opportunities including Firearms Instructor, Use of Force Instructor, and Emergency Vehicle Operations Instructor to name a few. Selected candidates will be required to undergo a thorough medical, psychological examination, background investigation and must have a valid Minnesota Driver’s License.
