The Hopkins Police Department is accepting applications and resume (required) for the position of police officer.  Applicants must meet the MN POST qualifications to be licensed or be licensed subsequently after hire.

Interviews will take place the 4th Tuesday of every month. The hiring process will remain open until filled.

We are offering a one time $5,000 NEW HIRE sign on bonus for initial hires with no officer experience. $2,500 of the bonus will be paid after completion of our FTO process. The remaining $2,500 will be paid after successful completion of one year probationary status.

We are offering a $7,000 LATERAL transfer sign on bonus for officers who have been employed full-time for the last 12 months as an officer. $3,500 of the bonus will be paid after completion of our FTO process. The remaining $3,500 will be paid after successful completion of one year probationary status.
