The Village of Angel Fire is currently seeking to fill 2- full time Police Officer positions. 

Prior police experience and law enforcement certification is not mandatory. The Angel Fire Police Department provides 24 hour coverage to the community of Angel Fire. Coverage is a mixture of shift work and paid on-call. Officers perform all police services for the Village of Angel Fire. Officers are required and expected to excel in criminal investigations, report writing, traffic enforcement, crash investigations and all other aspects of law enforcement.

Competitive salary and benefits package, including comprehensive health insurance and PERA level 5 retirement. 

Uncertified and out of state applicants holding a law enforcement certification must be eligible to attend the NM Law Enforcement Academy within 1 year of date of hire. If hired the Village of Angel Fire would pay for all training to include a certification by waiver class. Salary range is $27.70 for uncertified and $31.44 - $35.50 starting for certified doe.

Angel Fire has a full-time population of 1,186 full time residents growing to over 10,000 during the seasons. Angel Fire is approximately 29 square miles and features a golf course, a ski resort, numerous hiking trails and many outdoor recreation activities.
