Correctional Officer

The Franklin County Detention Center has openings for full-time Transport Officer/Utility, subject to Article 10 of the agreement between the Franklin County Commissioners and the NCEU for the Franklin County Detention Center.

Qualifications Include:

• Must possess a valid Maine driver’s license.

• Completion of the Basic Corrections School at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy and completion of the 100-hour law enforcement certification program preferred.

• Ability to follow oral and written directions.

• Computer literacy

• Courses from a two-year college or university and one to three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
