The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, located in mid-coast Maine, is currently accepting applications for both Full and Part-Time Special Services Deputies. Typical duties of the position are Prisoner Transport, Court Security, and Inmate Work Crew Supervision.

Lincoln County offers an excellent benefit package for full-time employees to include medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, a VOYA 457 retirement plan and a Maine State Retirement Plan with a 25-year, no age requirement, with two-thirds (2/3) pay.

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must be at least 21 years old or 20 years old with 60 college credits
Applicants must complete the Maine Criminal Justice Academy ALERT test prior applicant testing. (ALERT testing is conducted the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Please call 207-877-8000 to make an appointment).
Applicants must be willing to participate in all phases of this preliminary testing process, which may include a physical agility test, written test, oral board, and several interviews.
Applicants must be Part-Time certified by the Maine Criminal Justice Academy or be able to successfully complete the training course within the first year of employment.
